1. Using the facts you noted from our listening activity on page 65, write a paragraph on which country you would like to visit in January (opinion and topic sentence) and give at least three reasons why (facts from the table). Make sure you end your paragraph with a closing sentence about visiting the location you selected.
  • Silvia - Mexico (Alcapulco, Mexico, the Aztec ruins and Myan ruins)
  • Fatima - Egypt (the pyramids and the Nile)
  • Karl - France and Switzerland (Lake Geneva is in both)
2.  Find a family member, friend or neighbor who has visited another country to interview.  Create interview questions based on the questions on page 65 of your text (#4) and where the person has been. Tape the interview using garage band.  If you want to create a visual presentation, you can find pictures of the place the person has been to and insert them.  DUE SUNDAY, 03 JUNE 2012.
3.  Work on your Evaluation 5 for your project:  
  • Complete the evaluation form(table of contents and answered questions for the sample report on cell phones, plus your notes on your report)
  • FINISH YOUR GROUP'S REPORT ON THE LOCATION OF YOUR HOTEL (3 cities in the world, 3 cities in the UAE, near  one of 3 malls in the UAE, or near a tourist attraction in RAK) Make sure it is on a separate word document, double spaced, with title page with your hotel logo on top and ATHS logo on the bottom, table of contents, objectives, findings, recommendations, conclusion, resources, appendix) 
  • Due no later than Sunday, 03 June 2012. 
  • Next week you will adjust (create) your website for your group presentation to the class on 07 and 07 June 2012
