Organization: 1. Introduction with thesis statement 2. Body with specific details, and 3. Closing statement with a conclusion and restatement of thesis.
Content: 1. Facts 2. Examples 3. Personal stories that relate the the topic.
Mechanics: 1. Correct capitalization, end marks 2. Correct spelling 3. Correct subject verb agreement.
Vocabulary: 1. Use of a variety of words. 2. Words used correctly.
Sentence Structure: 1. Complete sentences (subject, verb, complete thought), 2. Use of a variety of sentence styles (simple, complex, compound)
